Candle Care and Safety

Trim the wick to 5mm each time before burning.

 

Long or crooked wicks can cause sooting, uneven burning, dripping or flaring. This is important to ensure an even burn.

Never leave a burning candle unattended

Burn candle out of reach of children and pets

Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles

Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire 

Ensure the candle is placed on a heat resistant, fire-proof stable surface

Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time.

Keep candles away from drafts but in a well-ventilated area whilst in use

Extinguish candles with a candle snuffer. Do not blow them out. Never use water to extinguish a candle.

Do not move candles when lit or the wax is still liquid

Do not replace lid of candle jar whilst wick is burning. After flame is extinguished and wax is cool you may replace the lid

Do not pour melted wax into drain.

Do NOT ingest – if eaten seek emergency medical attention immediately
